ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø

Purpose

To recognise and reward the achievements of an individual whose work has made significant contributions to translational (laboratory-clinic) cancer research.

Value

A prize of £1,000.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must have a PhD (Up to 15 years post-PhD, allowing for career breaks) at the time of application and demonstrate a track record in cancer research.  If in any doubt concerning eligibility, please contact Janet Alexander at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Secretariat for assistance.  Applicants must be a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø member (mermbership application may accompany the Award application)

Eligible applicants must submit a single PDF document consisting of the following sections:

The completed ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø/AstraZeneca Award Application Form 

1. A brief summary describing your accomplishments in cancer research (max 600 words)
2. A publication list of your original research articles (no reviews, commentaries, case studies or articles in submission; articles accepted for publication/in press are permitted).  The publication list should include the full reference, be numbered and listed in chronological order (The newest output first).  Ensure your contribution to each publication is highlighted by adding a brief (max 100 word) description of your role in relation to each output.
3. A pdf version of the three most notable publications
4. A letter of support from Supervisor/Line Manager
5. Applicants must adhere to this format, or the application will be returned without consideration by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.

Procedure

Please email all relevant documentation to Janet Alexander (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Secretariat) at: bacr@leeds.ac.uk with "ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø AstraZeneca Award" in the subject line of the email.

Applications will be acknowledged once received. If you don't receive an acknowledgement within 72 hours, contact the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Secretariat.
